3. Payment Information
Payments, including payments made by bank card, are processed by PayPal. ArtAbsurd does not receive or store your full card number or card security code. We receive transaction information needed to confirm and manage the payment, such as the payment status, transaction identifier, amount, currency, and payer or billing information made available by PayPal.
PayPal processes personal information under its own privacy terms. You can review the PayPal Privacy Statement.
4. How We Use Information and Our Legal Bases
We process personal information only when we have an appropriate legal basis. Depending on the purpose and the law that applies, we use information as follows:
- To perform a contract: processing orders and payments, arranging production and delivery, providing order updates, managing accounts, handling cancellations, returns, reprints, refunds, and customer support.
- To comply with legal obligations: maintaining tax and accounting records, responding to lawful requests, complying with consumer-protection duties, and establishing or defending legal claims.
- For legitimate interests: protecting the website and customers from fraud and abuse, troubleshooting, improving store performance, understanding aggregate use of the website, and operating an efficient customer-support service. We use this basis only where our interests are not overridden by your rights and freedoms.
- With consent: sending optional marketing communications and using non-essential cookies or analytics technologies where consent is required by applicable law. Consent may be withdrawn at any time without affecting processing that occurred before withdrawal.
We do not use personal information for solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects. PayPal and other service providers may perform automated fraud or security checks under their own policies.
5. Cookies, Google Analytics, and Similar Technologies
ArtAbsurd uses cookies and similar technologies to operate the store, remember cart contents and account sessions, maintain security, measure website performance, and understand how visitors use the site.
Essential WooCommerce and security cookies are required for functions such as the shopping cart, checkout, login, account management, fraud prevention, and preference storage.
We use Google Analytics 4 through Google Tag Manager. These services may process cookie identifiers, IP-derived location, device and browser information, visited pages, interactions, traffic sources, and purchase or conversion events. Google Tag Manager helps us manage website tags, while Google Analytics produces usage and performance reports.
Where applicable law requires consent for analytics or other non-essential technologies, we use those technologies only after consent has been given. You can withdraw or change your consent through the cookie settings made available on the website. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings, although some store functions may stop working correctly.
Google provides information about its processing in the Google Privacy Policy and its explanation of how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
More information about the technologies used on the website, their purposes, and available controls is provided in our Cookie Policy.
6. Google reCAPTCHA
We use Google reCAPTCHA on selected forms to distinguish legitimate users from automated abuse and spam. reCAPTCHA may collect technical and interaction information, including IP address, device and browser data, cookies, and user behavior associated with the form. This information is processed by Google under its Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
7. Google Customer Reviews
After checkout, eligible customers may be invited to opt in to Google Customer Reviews. If you choose to participate, information required to schedule and send the survey may be provided to Google, including your email address, order identifier, country, and estimated delivery date. Participation is optional and Google’s own privacy terms apply.
8. Who We Share Information With
We disclose personal information only as reasonably necessary to operate the store, complete orders, comply with law, or protect legitimate interests. Recipients may include:
- PayPal: payment processing, refunds, fraud prevention, and transaction support.
- Printify and Jondo: production, packaging, shipping, replacement orders, delivery support, and investigation of damaged or lost shipments. They receive the order and delivery information needed to fulfill the purchase.
- Hosting and email service providers: website hosting, storage, backups, technical operation, security, and delivery of transactional or support emails.
- Google: analytics, tag management, reCAPTCHA, and Google Customer Reviews as described above.
- Shipping carriers: delivery, tracking, address handling, and shipment support.
- Professional advisers and authorities: accountants, legal advisers, insurers, banks, regulators, courts, tax authorities, law-enforcement bodies, or other recipients when disclosure is required or legally justified.
We may also disclose information in connection with a sale, transfer, restructuring, or reorganization of the business, subject to appropriate confidentiality and legal safeguards.
9. International Data Transfers
ArtAbsurd operates from Georgia and uses service providers and production partners located in several countries. Your personal information may therefore be processed outside your country of residence, including in Georgia, the United States, and countries where an order is produced or delivered.
Where data-protection law requires safeguards for an international transfer, we rely on measures made available by the relevant provider or required by law, such as adequacy decisions, standard contractual clauses, or other approved transfer mechanisms.
10. How Long We Keep Information
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including legal, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, warranty, dispute, and record-keeping requirements.
- Order and payment records are retained for the period required by applicable tax, accounting, consumer, and limitation laws.
- Account information is generally retained while the account remains active and for a reasonable period afterward, unless earlier deletion is requested and no legal reason requires continued storage.
- Customer-service and complaint records are retained until the matter is resolved and for a reasonable period needed to handle follow-up questions or legal claims.
- Reviews may remain published until removed by us or upon a valid request, subject to legal and record-keeping needs.
- Analytics information is retained according to our Google Analytics settings and Google’s applicable retention practices.
- Security logs and backups are retained for limited periods based on operational, security, and recovery needs.
When information is no longer required, we delete it, anonymize it, or securely isolate it until deletion is possible.

To exercise a privacy right, email info@artabsurd.com. We may ask for information needed to verify your identity and protect the account. Some rights are subject to legal exceptions, including obligations to retain transaction records.
12. Marketing Communications
We send promotional email only when we have an appropriate legal basis. You may unsubscribe using the link included in the message or by contacting us. Transactional messages concerning an order, payment, delivery, account security, or customer-service request are not marketing and may still be sent when necessary.
13. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
14. Children’s Privacy
The ArtAbsurd store is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate authorization, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where required.
15. Third-Party Websites
The website may link to services or websites operated by other organizations. Their privacy policies apply to information they collect directly, and ArtAbsurd is not responsible for their independent privacy practices.
16. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when our services, providers, technology, or legal obligations change. The current version will be posted on this page with a revised last-updated date. Material changes may also be communicated by another appropriate method.
